Bathroom taps are a must have for any bathroom. Taps ensure a perfect flow of water that is required for washing hands, cleaning and doing much more. It is for this reason that the choice of the taps is very important. The bathroom warehouse everywhere has collections available so you can choose the type that suits your needs the most. The taps can be classified into following popular types according to the styles, designs and the working.

  1. Bathroom mixers

Popular by the names mono taps they are thought to be the most popular and practical options. They are fitted above the basin. All they need is one hole where they are fixed. For the discharge of water according to the temperature choice there are separate taps to handle either cold or the hot water. A valve permits the mixing of water. It is for this utility that the bathroom mixers are becoming very popular.

  1. Pillar taps

This kind of taps originally comes from Ireland. Their performance style both has outclassed the traditionally prevalent bathroom mixers. They require two mounting holes one each for the hot and the cold supply. They are fitted with the rubber valves to prevent the leakages. It is highly recommended for the bath tubs and the sinks as it extends complete temperature control while the water is being discharged out.

  1. Bath fillers

These deck mounted taps come with the pre-drilled holes that are used for sending out the hot and the cold water. The water at the two different temperature levels is mixed well so that it can come to the right temperature level after which it flows out of the spout. They are just the right choice for the baths as they let the baths fills in minimum expected time.

  1. Shower mixers

They are not much different from the bath fillers. All that makes them different is an additional attachment. This attachment includes a hose and a head. Thus, you can use it in two different ways. A diverter is fixed to it which helps in diverting the water flow to the desired attachment.

  1. Wall mounted taps

As the name suggests these taps are installed above the bath areas. They include one handle, spout and a cover plate. They are pretty challenging as in case of maintenance it is essential to remove the plate first to access into the rest of the installation that is in the wall.

  1. Floor taps

In contrast to the wall mounts that are fixed above the washing and bathing installations these taps are fixed directly to the flooring. They are stylish and trendy but need a great deal of planning before actually installing them. It is by no way a DIY job as it is plumber who knows where and how to install the taps.
